Ellery Lima Beans

2 lbs. dried large limas
3 1/2 oz. catsup
2 1/4 oz. BBQ sauce (I used original KC Masterpiece)
3/4 onion chopped
1/4 cup butter
6 slices bacon chopped, optional
Tabasco to taste
Granulated garlic to taste
salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Steps:

Soak beans in water overnight or use the hot soak method.

Rinse and put in pot covered with water.  Cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours just until tender.

Cook onions and bacon til onion is translucent and bacon is cooked.

Add butter, onion and bacon, catsup, BBQ sauce, Tabasco, granulated garlic, salt & pepper.

Cook 1 hour longer.
