A fresh alternative

Wouldn’t you like the convenience of having fresh refried beans without having to cook them? Now you can with the Better Bean Co. uncanny refried black beans. Keith Kullberg had a thirty-year old family recipe for refried beans he had perfected and a passion to start a new business that would offer a fresh alternative to canned beans. He wanted the consumer to be able to have the home cooked taste of beans without having to spend time in the kitchen. Keith and his daughter Hannah, co-owners of Better Bean, started their company with the purpose of inspiring people to “rethink” beans. Need a bean dip? For a change of pace try fresh instead of canned. I don’t know about you, but I read labels on all the food I buy. It’s nice to read a label that has only food listed and no ingredients that you can’t pronounce let alone know what they are without being a chemist. Next time you are in the grocery store please give this company’s bean products a try. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

A: Better Bean Co. was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2009. We started by test marketing in 10 stores in the Portland area.
